The Homecoming Event Committee for the 2025 KNUST Global Alumni Homecoming has begun active stakeholder engagements in preparation for the much-anticipated celebration scheduled for August 2025.
In a recent consultative meeting, the Committee convened with student leaders, student bloggers, and key communication partners to deliberate on the proposed programme lineup.
The engagement aimed to foster collaboration, solicit feedback, and underscore the vital role of media and digital influencers in generating excitement and promoting widespread participation.

Dr. Eric Manu, Chairman of the Homecoming Event Committee, stressed the importance of leveraging both traditional and digital media to amplify visibility and outreach.
He described the upcoming event as a landmark gathering that aims to unite alumni from across the world and emphasised the need for a collective communication strategy to mobilise the global KNUST community.

Mr. Worlanyo Ocloo, Project Manager of the Homecoming Event, walked stakeholders through the proposed itinerary for the three-day celebration.
Activities will include networking and mentorship sessions, health walks, sporting events, campus tours, alumni impact projects, exhibitions, a grand gala night, and other social experiences designed to foster reconnection and celebrate KNUST’s legacy.
“We want to stir nostalgia and create memorable moments,” Mr. Ocloo remarked. “This event will offer younger alumni the chance to connect informally with their senior counterparts, building bonds across generations.”
Participants offered constructive feedback aimed at enhancing the event's planning and promotion. Their suggestions focused on strategic content packaging, creative publicity approaches, and innovative ways to boost alumni engagement in the lead-up to the event.
The Committee will incorporate these insights as it continues preparations for what promises to be a memorable and unifying celebration of KNUST’s enduring impact and excellence.
